Democrats Hold Meeting On Downing Street Minutes

Printable Version | [eMail this article!] |

On Thursday (June 16th), there was a meeting on the Downing Street Minutes. It was supposed to be a hearing, but the Republican Congress would not allow it, or even allow a meeting room for it. So the Democrats held the meeting in the basement of the House. CSPAN was there and covered it. I caught the last 45 minutes or so, but CSPAN is rebroadcasting it Friday June 17th at 8pm Eastern Time (that's 5pm Pacific Timer). I would encourage people to watch it - or even tape it. This may turn out to be a historic turning point. The video of the meeting is also currently available at CSPAN.

Also my man Dennis J. Kucinich plus Abercombie, a conservative Republican (Walter Jones of NC and Paul of Texas have joined forces to push for troop withdrawl. For the first time in a long time I am beginning to see hint of light. Approval ratings are low and there are several fronts coming together. The time is right for the convergence, in the end the people can still determine the outcome of this 'action' we must exercsie our will to do so.
