Remember Valerie Plame and the FBI investigation into who in the Whitehouse leaked her identity to Novak who outted her as an under cover agent? Well after all the run around, a name has been released though it made hardly a ripple in the news. Well a reporter for Time Magazine, Matthew Cooper, has told DoJ prosecutors that he got his leak from I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby. Yes, Scooter who is chief of staff for Vice President Cheney (8/25/04, Leonnig, Wa. Post). "Scooter" was an early favorite in the outing of Plame. Therefore, it is not surprising to have this information come out. The question remains of what will be done.

Viole!! By God, it was Master Dick after all - who would have thought it!?
Thank God our nation's enemies didn't suspect that anyone connected with a US Embassy was, our could be, a spy of sorts. Fortunately her contacts and movements weren't monitored prior to the 'outing' and Cheney botching the pudding.
Well, we must accept the fact that we can no longer count on Covert Valerie to parachute behind enemy lines with her trusty knife and slit the throats of terrorists, thanks to that bastard Dick Cheney. I wonder if he realizes that she was close to capturing bin laden?
It's time to 'squeeze' Richard a bit - bring in some of the lads from Abu Ghraid and let them have some sport with him, eh? See Mr. Dick naked and leashed, fondling his penis - hear him fess up to the whole world that George Bush made him do it.
Like all the rest of the BS, my guess is that this all will get minimized and push aside as though it does not matter, or Scooter will take all of the blame and be asked to resign. Public outrage will be pacified with more propaganda. Mr. Cheney certainly will not take the fall for this, even if he were responsible.
The Machinations of Raw Power:
It's one hell of a sad commentary for me to say that the rules of hearsay evidence may preclude the making of bones, mafioso parlance for sanctioning an opponent - literally burying the evidence. The addiction to raw power is replete with evidence of such activities occurring in most cultures all throughout human history. Either we are exempt from such nefarious actions at our highest level by nature of our Judicial system or we are not. Recall if you will the nasty and vicious innuendo about Bill Clinton and the bones made on his behalf, and accept what saving grace their is that will allow Dick's lad to simply make a denial, and without a paper trail, it ends. I cannot expect perfection from elected leaders when I am able to see glaring flaws in my own character. That is the only high moral ground I have as a common man in this system of ours.
