Back to Fallujah ... Excuse Me, Anbar Province

Printable Version | [eMail this article!] |

In my previous piece about the ongoing horror in Fallujah, I noted that the US press has essentially declared a news blackout on what is going on. Actually they are doing something even sneakier. Instead of reporting on Fallujah, they are shifting to reporting on the "Anbar Province." Try a google news search on "Fallujah" and then one on "Anbar Province." For "Anbar Province" the first 54 of 60 links are US news sources. For the "Fallujah" search it runs about 50/50 - right now. My guess is it going to shift more and more toward "Anbar." However, even though most US media seem to be shifting to "Anbar Province," it still isn't making headline news.
