Cheney get's a reprieve
Cheney can heave a big sigh of relief and send out thank you cards to all his fellow Republicans that are controlling the Congress. The GAO has decided not to push any further for the VP to release his information on his "energy advisers" or their contributions to the "energy plan."
The Administration is safe -- once again -- from the prying eveyes of the citizenry (or Congress).
Losing this one is pretty big, and reinfoces the Administration's policy of secrecy and "Executive power."
Thank you Congress for protecting the peoples' interests (again - smirk).

Frankly, I'm livid about this. And, I'm ashamed that I had not heard of this lawsuit or the allegations that encouraged it. (thanks for this site, Rowan)
I'm getting deja vu from the time of the Sr. Bush administration, and a certain secretary of the interior (James Watt) who had strong ties to several questionable corporations with interest in the decisions of the EPA. He made so many startling decisions that he eventually was removed from his post. Let's see, where's the connection? Oil-energy-nukes... hmmmmm
How Cheney pulled off this coup, which flew so low under the radar that I imagine many of us were unaware of the issue, is no great mystery. We have in power right now, a very frightening group.
