Local- Native American Film Festival

This is for Portlanders and surrounding area.

There is a tremendous Native American Film Festival coming May 5th - 12th 2003 sponsored out of PCC's Cascade campus, and open to the public. Click HERE for complete information.

The festival will also feature speakers such as Leonard Benally, Lovey Two Bulls and Jim Big Boy. Films include: repREZentin' Kettle Point, In Whose Honor? Lighting the 7th Fire, Secwepemc Chapter Roadblock, Earthborn and others.

This should be a great event and well worth your time. A big Thank You! to Chris Francisco who conceived this event and was able to draw a lot of others into that dream.

This very much interests me... "White Shamans and Plastic Medicine Men" and "Earthborn" are two I'd definitely like to see. Are there any speakers or films in particular that you have heard of and would recommend?

I see my required paper on a public speaker for my Speech class being fulfilled at this event! I really hope Lovely Two Bulls will speak, because I just MUST see what someone with such a great name has to say.

I wish Sherman Alexie were speaking....
