Must see TV

PBS is hosting a special by David Suzuki in September The Sacred Balance. The first showing is this Wednesday at 8pm on PBS. The other three shows are on consecutive Weds. at 8pm. If you are concerned about the environment, you won't want to miss these shows.

There is a fairly extensive website connected to the show - The Sacred Balance Portal - which includes an online forum in which you may participate.

David Suzuki is a scientist, environmentalist and broadcaster. He has written several books (including the one this series is based on). He is the host of the CBC-TV series "The Nature of Things" and has produced other specials.

He was interviewed on NOW this week as a promo for the series and he was excellent. He spoke of how things have changed in his life time and the connection of humanity to the earth.
