Keeping an Eye on the DNC

If you are interested in keeping an eye on the Democratic National Convention - they have set up a web log - Kicking Ass - Daily Dispatched from the DNC. The site also offers daily speaker schedules, and links to bloggers invited to attend.

I overheard a man in a resturant talking about politics the other day and the upcoming conventions. He said, " you got one guy that looks like and acts like a mule (kerry) and the other guy is a jackass - who ya' gonna' vote for?"

I doubt that fellow will be viewing the proceedings at either convention.

For those interested in what's going on outside as well, Boston Indymedia has terrific up-to-the-minute coverage on the protests and the outrage over the so-called "free speech zone".

What I have learned from watching the DNC:
Anybody can become President of the USA - ain't that just fu**ing grand!??
Hey, at least the Republicans have no pretensions about money being the bottom line.

Fair is Fair:
Mrs. Kerry tells a reporter to "shove it" and there is a flap. Well, Mr. Dick used the F word on the Senate floor, which in my opinion is more inappropriate. Holding the high moral ground can be such a bi**h, can't it?

It seems most political dialog is nothing more than slinging around morality. The Republican convention will be no different.

Catch-up reading:
Rowan, I sincerely hope the family crisis you mentioned has been resolved in the best way possible.
