Rigged Elections
Wouldn't it be refreshing if the corporate media were as sensitive to US election issues as they are to those elsewhere? The Ukraine is a case in point. I can't find one word about "whining" or "conspiracy theories" on the Ukrainian elections instead we get articles such as: Thousands of Ukrainians Refuse to Accept Election Results and Yushchenko calls for army support (where the "loser" Yushchenko has called for civil disobedience).
Interestingly, underlying the concerns about the results of the Ukrainian vote is large discrepancies between the exit polling and the "official count." This is a primary way of determining the validity of elections everywhere - except the US.
MaxSpeak has a good write up on this as well.
Darest we use the "H" word? You know, hypocrisy?

And The Oregonian's M. Boule' latest column made Common Dreams today. It really is annyoing, if you critize you become "sour grapes" or a conspiracy theory type, but I communicate with a lot of people accross the U.S. and everybody (that includes Republicans) wonder about this election process.
Some people even feel a patrician deal was cut between Kerry and Bush, Ialways felt some sort of deal was done during the primary, because Kerry came from nowhere into the spotlight. Hey I know how crazy that sounds, Skull and Cross Bones guys making a deal...no way...right ?
