CACI Back in the News

CACI, exposed for its involvement in US torture of prisoners, is still a fair-haired company with the Pentagon having just received a new four year $85 million contract from the Navy.

CACI is one of the primary military contractors for the US, and the relationship is very close. As noted by Bill Fairl (COO for CACI): "We stay very close to this client. We stay so close we are on board ship with them."

Apparently CACI's involvement in the abuse of prisoners at Abu Ghraib had no effect whatsoever on their desirability rating. In fact, CACI was awarded a $15.7 million contract in November from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center. Business with the US military makes up 50% of CACI's business.

Looks like a case of "handsomely compensated for services received" to me.
