Shutter Control: Creating Gooks

By Mathew Maavak

The mysterious disappearance of data on the admin page of my site this morning was a touch of class. I was linking up two MSNBC articles on my Panopticon admin page and to my horror found that the Panopticon's admin page was showing zero data. Thinking it was a minor glitch I hit a ctrl F5 as glitches did get sorted before when I did that.

The quandary was I could not publish anymore articles. In the meantime, surfers could access all pages on the Panopticon page. In effect, they were accessing a cached page, that had virtually no data backing them, unless the site is frozen (no more publishing). The site and the links are still there at http://www.maavak.net/page5.html (Panopticon)

But once the publish button is clicked, all data on that page would be missing, as the admin side had nothing on it for that page.

And here was the ultimate quandary. If had posted an alert on my homepage, I still had to click the publish button, sacrificing my Panopticon page in the process. But I wanted to get in touch with my service providers first, and get their explanation. I could reconstruct my site in the meantime for I saved the links and some pages, which, were original contributions, but first the explanation.

Either I reconstruct that page, or wait for my service providers to sort it out. In the meantime, I can't publish.

And here is the masterstroke. For anyone who had read my email alerts, would have found my explanation puzzling. The page and the links are still there. Someone must have been capitalizing on phrases like this in my last article SHUTTER CONTROL: GROUND ZERO

"The quotes, and there are plenty, are taken from a work of speculative delusions at it deranged"

"best, written in a dream world of hallucinatory scholarship."

"The rest have to resort to the dream world of the Internet."

"Perhaps I am delusional. After all, I am listening to the Pet Shop Boy's Flamboyant while writing this draft. We will see in the next few weeks."

I am still listening to the Pet Shop Boys and we will see next week or so.

Why did it happen? The reference to:

1) Freemasonry and how Christians were being duped?

2) A genuine technical glitch that my host server technicians can't solve?

3) To prove that I am delusional, in a dream world, of living up to fantasies? (I was in fact parodying the clichéd charges of one leftist icon)

4) The Jihadist connection?

I am waiting for (3) really, but I think it is tied to (1) and (4).

Point (2) may come in between any of them.

To tell you the truth, I approached two right-wing icons as well, two days back, rephrasing their ties to "intellectual jihadists." No reply. They are in the same boat, me thinks. Look at how societies are fragmenting, but that will have to be expounded later, when I take back full control of my site.

And why would "Big Brother" bother if my main thrust was against the "leftist elite" and their nexus to the intellectual apologists of Jihadist violence? Authorities should be pleased, unless...

Am I sweating? Yes, from the Kuala Lumpur heat and nothing more.

Well, since I can't click the "publish" button on my site, or for that matter publish anything in the first place, hopefully some of you guys can post this short clarification cum added material on how neutral voices can be stymied on the net.

It will be the first time that any article of mine will be published elsewhere, before it got posted on my site.
