The Downing Street Memo, and Conyer's Petition

With the British release of the now infamous "Downing Street Memo" which clearly shows that Bush was 1) "fixing" intelligence to legitimate and invasion of Iraq, and 2) was trying to provoke Hussein into an attack, John Conyers and 88 other Congresspeople are calling for an inquiry. They are requesting citizen support for their request.

There is a website that has been set up for information and the link to Conyers' petition. The site is The Downing Street Memo.com. They have a link off that site to where you can sign the petition for an inquiry. Conyer's wants at least 100,000 signatures. As of yesterday he had about 55,000.

What you are actually adding your signature to is Conyer's letter to President Bush which you can read HERE.

I encourage everyone to be informed about the Downing Street Memo. It is getting virtually zero coverage in the US press and it is truly a "smoking gun." People need to know about this so send the link to the memo to your friends and family - Downing Street Memo.
