Pacific Northwest Portal

The Pacific Northwest Portal is the official regional news and resource site of the Northwest Progressive Institute. NWP is truly a "portal" into politics and political blogging in the Pacific Northwest. It is a fount of information and connection to progressive groups and thinkers.

I was just informed by NWP that Uncommon Thought Journal has been selected to be a contributing blog to the NWP Topic Hotlist. You can find the Hotlist in the right column of UTJ's main page. I am honored that UTJ would be selected as a contributing blog based on its "consistently excellent blogging." I want to thank the Uncommon Thought community for your ongoing support of me and this site. Without your support, I would have given up this project a long time ago. You spur me to try and bring you the best that I have to offer.

Thank you to those who read and contribute to Uncommon Thought, and to NWP for finding this site worthy.

Actually the NWP Topic Hotlist is not a resource of NPI, but brought to you by On The Road To 2008. While, there is a connection inasmuch as many blogs listed on the Hotlist are syndicated by the NW Portal, the Topic Hotlist is a separate creation from the Portal.

Both the Portal and the Hotlist hope to better spread the voice of NW progressive bloggers, and speaking for the Hotlist, we're happy to have UTJ in the Hotlist.

My apologies. I misunderstood the connection between NPI, PWP and On the Road to 2008.

Thanks for the clarification.

And congratulations, Rowan! This blog is one of my consistent sources for inquiry and information. Your vigilant research and compelling writing has provided me with fodder for a good number of "dialogues!"

Professor Wolf is one of two critical thinkers who has profoundly shifted my center during my undergraduate journey--thank you for your deep commitment to your profession, Rowan!
