New Year's Wishes
Dear Uncommon Thought Community and Visitors,
I wish all of you the best in 2006, and thank you for your ongoing support of this Journal. I do not foresee great improvements for 2006. Therefore, I wish each and every one of you strength, persistence, and a good sense of humor. Balance is important - particularly in stressful times. I wish that you maintain that clear piece of yourselves that maintains your connection to the rest of life.
I will continue to try to make UTJ an informative and insightful stop on your journey through the world of information. I am always open to your suggestions on how to improve both the site and content, so please feel free to contact me.
I want to give special thanks to those of you who contribute content to Uncommon Thought:
Commenters who bring dialogue and community;
Guest Authors (Doris, Jack, John, Mathew, Monica, and others) who bring a different voice and expertise;
and mariali whose caricatures always strike to the bone.
It is all of us that make this community. You have offered me personal support in difficult times. You have kept me going when I became so depressed that I felt like this site was a waste of time. You have brought vision, insight and passion. More than anything, your own actions are helping to make the world a better place.
I want to especially acknowledge my partner Kelly. Her support of my work on Uncommon Thought is both emotional and tangible. She is an important part of Uncommon Thought even though she frequently remains behind the scenes.
May 2006 be an exceptionally good year for each of you personally!
