Marching For Peace

Yesterday and today people across the world are marking the third grim anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. The US government marked the date with a massive shock and awe campaign in Samarra (Operation Swarmer). People are marking the day with calls to end the war. If you are in Portland, Oregon, then you can get march details at Portland Indymedia. The also post two numbers for your handy reference:

Portland Legal Defense Jail Support - 503-234-4518
Indymedia Livestream - 503-715-0994

The main march in Portland starts at 1:30 from Waterfront Park, north of the Morrison Bridge, downtown Portland. It is expected to end at roughly 4:30.

I made notwithstanding a heart transplant and kidney failure, good to see Mike and Rico again, I didn't have the strength to walk up front but I made it 35 blocks, great march !

I was really disappointed to not be able to make the march due to an illness in the family. However I was overjoyed to see the great turnout!
