Peak Moment Television
I had the great experience of being interviewed by the Yuba Gals - producers of Peak Moment Television. Peak Moment is a project of the for Alliance for a Post-Petroleum Local Economy (APPLE) out of Nevada City, California. They are also a project of the Relocalization Network of the Post Carbon Institute.
Yuba Gals produce a weekly show focused on community responses to peak oil and global warming. They are on a trip around the Pacific Northwest doing interviews in British Columbia, Washington and Oregon. I was honored to be interviewed during one of their passes through Portland.
This is quite an ambitious endeavor that the Nevada City Relocalization group, and Peak Moment have undertaken. I watched a few of their programs available on the internet at Global Public Media. The quality is quite good, and the programs are both interesting and informative.
You can purchase programs on DVD (four 28 minute programs per) through the Yuba Gals site. You can support them by requesting your local cable access station air Peak Moment Television (here's the contact link for Portland Community Media). Your donations would also be welcome.
While Peak Moment may be running on a shoe string budget, their professionalism is top notch. Take a look at some of the programs at Global Public Media and make up your own mind.
My personal thanks to Janaia Donaldson and Robyn Mallgren for their commitment to informing people and making a positive difference!
