A Necessary Shift Part 2: Global Mindshift

In an effort to expand the horizon of possibility during a time when it seems we are standing on the horizon, I started searching around for "something different." My new top site in the "new" category is Global Mindshift. The basis of the organization and their site is that in order to change the world, one has to change one's mind. Since this has been my philosophy for a very long time, I felt an immediate attraction to the site. As I explored the site and their orientation, that attraction shifted to a distinct feeling of kinship.

Global Mindshift is also one of the best designed sites that I have found on the web. It integrates technology in a very pleasant way. The folks at Global Mindshift have a collection of memes that are really worth the time. My two favorites are Wombat and Self Interest. It only takes a couple of minutes to watch both of them, so check them out. To see other offerings check out the Discover link.

They have a very nice article database which are informative as well as being a good resources.

While I have not had time to participate, they also run study / discussion groups. These appear to be very well structured discussions with each group "closed" after an appropriate number of people register. The facilitators of these groups have solid and varied backgrounds. I look forward to participating when I get just a smidge of free time.
