And Gas Prices Start To Rise
Isn't it just a coincidence that gas prices started jumping up all the sudden? On Tuesday, my regular gas station had unleaded for $2.22 a gallon. By Thursday morning it had jumped to $2.38 a gallon. That is a sixteen cent jump. According to Daily Fuel Gauge Report Yesterday's national average was $2.21 and today's is $2.17. I guess that the oil companies didn't want to wait to long after holding them down for the Republicans until after the election. Don't be fooled - there are no new crises. The OPEC decision to cut supply has been ongoing. There have continued to be oil workers kidnapped in Niger on an ongoing basis. In fact, Kuwait even had an explosion and had to shut down a 200,000 bpd refinery. Nothing looked "more positive" in the run up to the election. Nothing looks "more negative" now. How high will they go to make up for the "lost profits?"
