David Brooks' Times Editorial
Folks are talking about (with disbelief) David Brooks' December 10th NY Times editorial. However, getting access to the article is pay only. Unless ... you go to the Kansas City Star who published the editorial under a different title - A chilling prediction of a Middle East meltdown (aka "After the Fall"). Thanks Star.

I watch this guy on Sunday mornings when I am supposed to be in Church. Mark Twain would pound the top of his head with a ballpeen hammer and yell inside, "Hello - lo - lo - lo?" According to this article and a commentary response (http://www.1115.org/2005/01/10/david-brooks-stfu/) Vonnegut has some thoughts also that seem to me to be relevant...! "Welcome To The Monkey House!" READ IT!
Yes in debating how and when to get out of Iraq, many of my conservative friends kept referring to the NYT 12/10/06 article titled "After the Fall" I hadn't read the article but was eager to see what all the fuss was about.
After finally tracking it down (Thanks again, Rowan) I read the piece of fiction and thats' what it is, a speculative article implying what will happen if and when we pull out of Iraq.
1. Who got us into this mess?
2. After we were in who screwed it up?
3. We are making enemies faster than we can kill them or them us !
Finally, I hope "W" has a Merry Christmas, while he is considering a "New Direction" after billions have dollars spent both now in the future, more people, human beings are dbeing killed.
Merry ++++in Chrismas Geo.
If Politicians did everything after they read such an analysis What would they do differently? If I did everything after I knew what the consequenses were what would I do differently? What would you have done differently?
