Holidays

I am not a big celebrator of holidays - any of them including birthdays. The reluctance is likely due to being in foster care as a child. However, I do realize that they are important for many people.

This is a time for families and friends. A time for the turning from the longest darkness of the year to the growing light and promise of spring. For many, it is a time of reflection and of remembering. It is a time of nodding to the past and winking at the future.

I wish all of you health and good friends and the courage of your convictions as we move with the Earth into increasing light. Beneath the mud and the ice; embraced within the heart of the branch; lies the will towards life. May it be so with you.

Regards,
Rowan
