Pet Food Recall Expanded

Here we go again. The pet food recall has been expanded again. They have found the same contaminant (melamine) in rice gluten. The source of this contamination was also from China, but another manufacturer. Of significant concern is that China is resisting inspections, which may be an issue of national control, or may reflect a much larger issue with food production for export. On the preventative side, you might look at local producers of pet food as a supplier, or switch to making you own pet food. I will investigate this and report back on options in the near future.
