In Case of Emergency A Good Idea
While the ICE Campaign [In Case of Emergency] started in 2004 with an idea by Bob Brotchie of the East Anglian Ambulance service, it was picked up by Vodaphone in 2005 (Urban Legends), it is an excellent idea. In essence, for those with mobile phones it entails making an entry (ICE) for those who should be contacted in case of emergency (ICE1, ICE2, etc). Some newer cell phones allow one to create "groups" for your phone numbers. You could make an ICE group and list those you want contacted. Such a designation would allow emergency service personnel to contact someone quickly if you were unable to provide that information.
Thanks Bill for sending this along.
