Too Odd
I hate to do it, but we have a mouse problem so I do set traps from time to time. I could not figure out how the traps were consistently empty and the peanut butter gone, and usually the trap not tripped ... until this morning. I could not believe what I saw in the trap. The picture may be unpleasant to some, so it is in the extended entry.
Yes. A slug. Apparently slugs have been dining on the peanut butter. I did not even know that they liked peanut butter. This one apparently made the mistake of not getting all the way inside before dining.

Well, I am having lots of troubles and misery from rats.
It seems no matter what I do or who I consult with I can't seem to get rid of them. I checked with my neighbors and 70% agree they are miserable, avarice creatures who take anything they want, anytime they want and anyway they want. However, 30% say they do no harm and are in fact good for the neighborhood and somehow that 30% seem to be calling the shots. They keep quoting scripture saying they are God's creatures and we should let them be.
So in the face of futility I shall continue to study this rat problem and look for uncommon solutions.
