Damn Dems

Well, as you have all heard, HR 333 made it past the attempt to table it, but got sent to the Judiciary Committee in short order. The word is the Conyer's has been told to sit on it. Dennis Kucinich and Maxine Waters made a valiant effort to move Cheney's impeachment forward. However, Pelosi and Hoyer won the day in shutting down the effort. Please send Dennis (202-225-5871) and Maxine (202-225-2201) words of appreciation for the attempt.

The bill was brought to the floor on a privilege motion. Never heard of it before, but apparently it was procedural effort to get the resolution out of Committee and onto the floor.

This at a time when Bush's rating is the lowest ever, even lower than Nixon.

I used to be a half way decent chess player. Won a local tournament once even, but it has been a long time since I insisted my kids all learn the game before they were in school. Sometimes it is really, really hard to see far enough into the future to discover even one clue about what the Decepticons are about, but one thing can be counted on always, it is going to turn out better for the few than it is for the many until the many take charge!

Let me add a foot note to that. I had to donate sixty bucks to Conyers to get a "free" copy of his book for my father-in-law for last Christmas, but it took three reminders to his office they owed me a book and until May for me to get my copy in time for my father-in-law's birthday. By then Conyers was explaining to everyone why long term strategy demanded a slowing in the impeachment process. Forty years of bad judgment keeping this shit in office, yet I keep anting to trust him....sort out your own interpretations....
