Media Concentration
It is time once again to act to protect what little media diversity we still have. The FCC is preparing to offer a new proposal to expand media ownership ... again. I Access FCC Comment section. The comment period ends December 11, 2007, so take action quickly.
You may also send a letter to your Congressional Representatives to support S 2332 which focuses on minority representation in media ownership through Stop Big Media. They have an electronic letter you may sign.

Here is the comment I posted:
I urge the Commission to not expand the media ownership rules any further. The proposed change to limit this additional ownership "only in major markets" means a loss of media and information diversity for almost half of the population of the United States. We need ownership diversity to have a broader spectrum of information and perspective. There are also critical community needs that are not met when the concentration of media becomes too high. Please vote against this proposal.
