Peace and a Change of Tone

The local news stations are reporting on the peace march here in Portland and I am struck by the change in tone from earlier years. Not only is the coverage longer, but instead of saying things like they didn't know what all these different issues had to do with each other (i.e. war, peace, oil, immigration, justice) they interviewed different folks. There was no longer the effort to minimize these marchers formerly labeled as "unpatriotic." Makes one wonder at "patriotism: doesn't it.

Due to health issues I was unable to attend today's events. So, if you were at any demonstration please share your perspectives and thoughts.

As they use to say in the Navy: I fell out with the sick, lame and lazy. I was unable to make it also due to sundry health issues.

However, I did notice the article in the Oregonian was very upbeat as opposed to the past when we had 10000 plus at the marches.
