For those of you, who like me, are Dennis Kucinich supporters, here is his outstanding speech at the Democratic Convention on Tuesday. Via YouTube courtesy of CSPAN,
Does Dennis Kucinich support the right and current freedom of a worker to have a private vote when it comes to voting if a company should be unionized?
Or, does he support the union demand that workers shouldn't have the right to a free vote?
Will Dennis Kucinich go on record and promise he will not support any tax increases?
I do know that BIG money has come out to attack unions and frequently use EFCA to state that employees are going to be coerced into starting a union. Since unions neither hire or fire, that argument doesn't make sense to me.
Having worked as both an "at will" employee and with a union, I can tell you that my experience says that EMPLOYERS are not democratic, and definitely do NOT respect one's privacy - of vote or anything else. With a union, I had/have some protection from some employment abuses.
I don't know if EFCA is an answer or not to the issue of EMPLOYER coercion to keep workers from even thinking about unionizing.
