Del Martin, 87; longtime leader in gay rights movement dies.
In June, Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon were the first women to wed under California's liberalization of marriage. As steadfast and long term activists of human, gay and lesbian, and women's rights, they were an iconic pair. Now one stands alone with the spirit of her life partner watching on.
